The Probe Appliance for 10/100 Full-Duplex networks was designed to monitor full-duplex traffic at the edge of the network. Network Instruments’ Probe Appliances can perform real-time monitoring from any location, saving valuable time and money that would otherwise be spent flying out an administrator to those sites. This real-time, continuous monitoring also allows you to identify and resolve problems quickly, reducing user complaints.

The 10/100 Full-Duplex Probe Appliance helps IT administrators eliminate dependence on a SPAN or mirror port, reduce switch load and ensure data integrity.

The Probe Appliance for 10/100 Full-Duplex networks comes preloaded with the Advanced Expert Probe software, which allows for multiple sessions by users, real-time expert processing at the probe, and individual levels of probe access.

The appliance is rack mountable and utilizes a 100 Mb full-duplex nTAP to ensure complete, passive analysis. With the incorporation of the nTAP, IT administrators can insert and remove the appliance without any disruption to the network.
